A follow up letter has now been distributed to all parents and will be available online shortly. In the mean time the main highlights are contained below but anyone with any questions should address these to Jo Barrow on 01234 213038
- Founded in 1957 Putnoe Scout Group was sponsored by Putnoe Heights Church
- A section of land to the rear of the church was provided at a peppercorn rent of £1 per annum
- The Group funded the building of a Hut on the premises and still hold ownership of the building
- When, in 1997, the lease was up for renewal, it was established at £250 rising to £500 over 5 years
- There was a verbal agreement that if this was ever a problem, it would be foregone
- Recently threats of 'invoking clauses in the lease' have been given, believed by us to imply eviction if payment was not received.
- Due to this £1425 back rent has been paid leaving a sum of £225 outstanding for Feb. to August 2006
